To get to grips with editing techniques on 'Final Cut Pro', we created a short clip of dialogue from a script. For this task we were asked to include particular techniques such as being able to pick up sound, achieve a 'shot reverse shot' and be able to film the footage using effective lighting and then edit the shots to a high standard on Final Cut Pro afterwards. My group of 3, created a simplistic but real edit creating a tense and emotive scene. We did this by making the back light darker and creating masks for the actors faces so they stood out as we focused in on the action. We decided not to include any music as we felt this would distract the audience from listening to the dialogue. 

I felt that this task really helped me get to grips with the basic technique of editing and it helped me understand what techniques work best for the drama genre (as this is the genre that our film is).
